PTP Mode
(Dual Pulse Mode)
LUCAS adopted the PTP(dual pulse mode),which constantly delivers dual pulse, high-output energy at very short intervals. With high and consistent output on a large area, the PTP Mode could improve the therapeutic effect by providing equational energy distribution all over the face. As a pulse is divided into two in the PTP Mode, it is associated with less injury to the surrounding tissues, less pain and faster regeneration, compared to the previous single pulse, at the same energy output. It is also associated with less hypo-pigmentation, PIH and other adverse effects. The PTP mode has been reported to be less painful and cause milder reactions to pigments, compared to single pulse of the same energy.

Handpieces
Zoom Handpiece
This handpiece allows for adjustable settings ranging from 2mm to 10mm, with 1mm intervals. It is commonly used for precise energy transmission over longer distances. Indication: Effective for treating both epidermal and dermal pigmentations
Fractional Handpiece
The fractional mode of the LucasPlus emits high levels of energy while preserving much of the epidermis. Minimizes the possibility of over-treating target chromophores and surrounding tissue.
The fractional mode is the ideal treatment for melasma, optimizing the photoacoustic effect and reducing the thermal effect, and also allows the user to treat conditions such as coffee spots, nevi, and lentigines with total confidence and minimal side effects.
The fractional handpiece uses fractional laser beams (81 points, 5×5) to allow higher fluence (J/cm2) compared to the handpiece in bulk mode, allowing various pigmentations that were previously difficult to treat to be destroyed.
MLA Handpiece (Micro Lens Array)
Unlike other QS Nd:YAG, Lucas Plus can create Laser Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) with low energy. LIOB mechanism allows a cavitation effect through plasma formation with the MLA handpieces. (300μm)
